Another view of this large (over an inch in length), sturdy longhorn beetle found in the Arboretum in Ottawa. Larvae feed on a variety of hardwoods, and the adults nectar on flowers. Flower longhorns to the subfamily, Lepturinae, in which most of our smaller, colourful longhorned beetles occur.
