Dunrobin area. A bear had moved into the area of a very large jumble of rocks and boulders, waaay along a little used wooded trail. He had found a cosy space beneath the boulder pile. Judging from the amount of scat in the vicinity he was eating well and had been there awhile by the time we noticed the signs. He would need to put on a lot of fat for the coming winter's long fast (hibernation). It looks like he'd found lots of seeds and berries to eat, from what I could see by poking around in the scat.
