Andrenid bee collecting pollen

Fletcher Wildlife Garden. This is a solitary bee, meaning it does not nest in colonies the way honey bees do. It is, however, found in large aggregations, but each female has her own nest chamber which she stocks with the pollen she is collecting here from willows. These are important pollinators.

Seems to be collecting more on its hairs than with its mouth parts!
