SoakedFace

I had gone into our pool to buy a muffin from the snack bar. And the skys opened up. I was standing under the canope with a neighbor whom I hadn't met before. You notice how when it rains, we tend to run to safety? Why? you'll get wet anyway. Stop and smell..the rain. How it feels beating on your body. We did. We took our sandals off and walked the 5 minute walk to building. We didn't run, we walked. What a wonderful feeling. The rain was pounding, the wind was strong, thunder far away still not to be dangerous to 2 women walking through trees. We raised our faces to the sky to welcome the water. What a wonderful feeling that is. I don't think I have done this since I was a child. While other neighbors were fighting with their umbrellas cursing their fate, we were strolling in the rain, laughing ilke little children. NO not little children, Adults having a bast. By the time we made it into the building, my clothes were soaked. my face soaked. but my heart was freed. I was in such a great mood. Haven't felt that way in such a long time. My first reaction when I saw people standing in the lobby waiting for the storm to pass was to say: "You guys are wimps. You have no idea what you are missing" What a great way to let go!!!!!!!! check out another photo of my feet here.

Lara you may have been adults having a blast, but in this picture your inner child is showing, and she is so beautiful, I haven't seen such pure bliss in a long time... Just saw this today for the first time and had to say thank you for the rain story I love it, Michelle

Ahhh yes a walk in the rain is liberating. And yes, I agree there is a glow, you look euphoric. Rain here today possibly, grey skies -if it rains I do believe I shall do the same, raise my arms up and shout,'Thank you Lara'

Sometimes walking in the rain like that is just what you need. If you had your Rebel with you, it may not have been so liberating. ;-)
