a bit of a balancing act...our tomatoes are the tiny ones but they do have more flavour

Well, CAN have more flavour. Some truss tomatoes can be quite nice and tasty but the bulk buy Coles - Woolies ones can be a tad on the bland side. They also frequently have far less colour than your subjects here. Nice repetition on the shapes, and a good neutral background for them to stand out against.
