Dog Days

West Virginia

Record breaking temperatures for another week. The storm recovery continues slowly.

There are just so many people impacted in so many states. From a storm which barrelled out of the midwest with winds of 90 mph and tore across the Mid Atlantic region and lasted 10 minutes at most. It is called a derecho, a long-lived wind storm that travels in one direction along a relatively straight swath.

Here in southern WV, the men and women in the utility companies worked long and hard hours in the heat and almost everyone is back online (power and internet). I gave a thumbs up to every truck I saw the last few days and I'm giving them a virtual one now. So is Beefy when he wakes up.
