I love Jennifer,too! .. and of course I don;t even know her!
Thanks so vey much for a living pictorial of your life together. Your love for her shows in every picture.
FANTASTIC TRANSFORMATION .BRAVO .I AM TOUCHED .A BIG V
Beautiful. What a blessing to have such a relationship. My divorce was final in 2013. Too bad my ex went to a divorce councilor instead of a marriage councilor. My hat is off to the two to of you. Congratulations. The two of you have done it right.
What a wonderful record of a lady who is obviously a very special, kind and caring person.
Man! this is a touching love story, they say that the eyes are a reflection of the soul and that lady has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. Helps me understand.
Fantastic collection, we got married in 1969, I was not into photography then, I just so wish I had a similar collection of images, congratulations on your years together, may you have many more. Voted !!!
Simply the best photo journal I've seen and read. Consider yourself blessed among the blessed.
Simply : Beautiful ...
Pour la Beauté de l' Art et de la Femme
Wonderful, nice history of life!! Now i'm also retired from march, 1, and i loved it, V!
YOU HAVE CAPTURED THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE AND SHE IS LUCKY YOU HAVE HER IN YOUR LIFE IT WAS WONDEFUL TO SEE

I would give half of my life, to live the other half like you have lived yours.
great gallery. you have inspired me. i got a scanner and am doing something like this on my hard drive for the woman i'm lucky enough to call my wife. thanks
My wife stumbled on your web site, so I finally got to see your art (photo's.)
One gallery is nicer than the next. You have truly made your mark. Great work!
Your friend, Carl
Do you realize what an extremely high bar you've set for husbands who want to show their love for their wives? They'd have to rewind time, get back to the beginning, and do everything over, this time with a camera. But even more, they'd have to have your loving soul and eye. What a love story. What a tribute. Jennifer may be the most fortunate woman in the world.
Very nicely done and a wonderful idea.
Hey Karl & Jennifer,.... this is a real love story. Your commentary, .. candid shots, .. tenderness with which both are imbued, are worth their weight in gold. Can you bottle some and send it to we mere mortals?
I wish you continued bliss.
regards, Warren W. firstname.lastname@example.org

Congratulations to you and Jennifer on your wonderful marriage. I really enjoyed this gallery.
Truly a great gallery, and here's to many more. My wife and I are 32 years in 2007.
wow what a lucky man
Wow this is just super Karl...all the best and you have some great galleries also....Mike
Amazing. My favorite gallery on pbase.
Karl, you have posted a beautiful story and a great series. I was moved by your love for Jennifer.
Now thats love. Stay happy
What a story...what a life. It was awesome. You've inspired me and I am starting
my own 22 year story tonight. Thanks for sharing it with the world.
I run into your gallery by chance and .. I found it very moving and full of grace. There must have been a lot of love going on there. Claudio
I looked at every picture, read every word. I am a 64 year old man and had tears in my eyes the whole time. I am so happy for your joy.
Love this gallery. My wife and I are right now about where you were in 1979 or so. Oh the time, why does it never stop ticking? We were children when you were doing what we are doing right now. Soon enough I'll be looking at my child's gallery of the same.
lovely gallery. thanks for sharing such an intimate portrait with your fans. Remember, these are the good old days. Enjoy each moment and treasure your loved ones.

interesting photo's of your life, love the 1974.beautiful.

This gallery makes me ache. Such a beautiful concept and tremendous work. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Jenn... Koo Yaaa Panneeeeeyyy
Karl, thank you so much for your comment as it brought me to your page. I have never felt so touched by a series of photo's and a sharing of someone else's life. You are a very lucky man, and indeed, she is a very lucky woman. You are clearly soulmates and I can't help but feel envious of you both but in a warm way. An amazing gallery, with amazing sentiment. (And how has she kept her amazing figure?!!) Thank you for sharing x
Wonder gallery of moments.
I'm so glad that our honeymoon pictures were total failures and get me into photography and I've been recording our moments ever since..
The Mandarin proverb: It takes hundreds of reincarnations to bring two persons to ride on the same boat; it takes a thousand eons to bring two persons to share the same pillow.
Karl & Jennifer, thank you both for allowing me to share your journey through time - what a privilege. All the best.
Great pics of the past to the present..............
Very well written, well documented. I was attracted to your site by the radio station photo. For a few years, my parents lived in Amos, Abitibi. I had a small transistor radio. They only radion stations I would capture at night where those of the Buffalo area, apart from the local station. The best music came from those Buffalo area stations. I coudnt get New-York, not Toronto, nor Montreal, just buffalo area, something to do with radio signals bouncing of layers of air in the atmosphere. Anyway, found this gallery, and my wife and I share a similar walk in life, and we have bein to some of the places you show, it has brought back a look on my life too. Thanks for sharing, more than pictures, but the recall of the true meaning of life, never ending love.
very nice gallery...you didn't change at all you are still a beautiful lady today...
really enjoyed looking through this gallery - great idea but most of all, very well done
What a wonderful love letter to your wife! I can't imagine anyone loving me like that, that long! Best wishes.
I found this while looking for pics on sing sing... (great btw, and thanks).
This gallery, and your comments on each photo, are just wonderful. It's like a window into your life, and your very special wife. You obviously love each other very much. It makes me think of someone that I also spent a long time with, and how we grew together, through thick and thin. Life isn't about the big things, it's about all the little things, and how you deal with it. You obviously picked a great person to travel with!
Thank you for sharing this. One of the most real things I have seen on the internet actually.

Thank so much for the memories.eugenia gregory foster
It's so very touching indeed. Thanks for sharing your joy and life with Jennifer with us all.
What a wonderful and lovely tribute. The one you love always remains young and beautiful.
I wish you another 36 glorious years.
May your relationship grow ever deeper regardles of reality.
What a wonderful photo essay of your partner through the years. For a young person like myself, it is truly inspiring.
A very moving progression of images. This is a kind of meaningful work that we should see more of here on PBase. Thanks for the contribution.
Really enjoy the passion and love you expressed via the photos and descriptions!
I found this gallery doing a search on "homes" and checked out Buffalo. I thought maybe I'm odd because I like to look at other people's history and then realized how so many people are interested in the same when I see this extensive list of comments.
This is so sweet! Be happy and update for many, many years!
great concept with this gallery.
I truly like your photos and the touching comments you have attached to them.
May you and your lovely wife be blessed with more happy years. God bless you both.
what a sweet testament to love...and the comments you've received certainly prove the power of the photographic essay. what a tremendous outpouring of emotion it provoked from both men and women, young and old. a success story in oh so many ways. kudos!
Suneel T Chandra
Wow!!! Another definition to love.
Indeed this is my first comment for whole pbase, and I couldn't able to sit quite on watching this gallery.
One of the most touching picture galleries I have ever seen. Your love for one another is clear and, like most people, it's something I'd like to experience in my life. If I manage to find a partner with whom I have a tenth of the bond you and you wife have created, I would be a lucky man indeed.
I wish you both all the best and hope the gallery - and your happy marriage - will continue...
"I don't know what it would it be like to live without a dream."
These a beautiful set of pictures: fine camera work and a photogenic model.
You have been through a lot in your lives, yet don't moan or complain. That's what I find inspiring.
I wish you a happy happy future; you deserve it for bearing all life's struggles with a smile.
Gorgeous pictures of a gorgeous lady.

This is a cool arrangement.
I love it. The inspiriations from this gallery are to many to number.
Beautiful set of pictures - one of the best galleries I have seen on Pbase
My wife and I have only been together 8 years but this has inspired me to do something similar
Regards - Mark ( England)
What a lovely gallery. This is really quite touching; you obviously love your lady very much. I must say that she looks as good, if not better, now as she did in the 60's.
This is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen on the internet and I've been playing around on it a long time. Great work!!!
This is gold.
So did u divorce her yet?
Simply inspiring!! You have really put something special together. What can I say that has not been said. Gets my vote!!!
How beautiful Karl. What amazes me is how little Jennifer has changed over the years. And speaking of years. Where did they all go? I have a feeling that for you two the best years are yet to come. Love Kathy
Everything Karl has said about his wife is true, this I know for a fact. She is extremely intellegent, beautiful, accepting, fun, comfortable, loving, and my best friend as well as my oldest sister. Karl's tribute is a wonderful thing and only begins to show you what a fantastic person he is as well. Neither of them will ever age.
Wonderful. Simply Wonderful
thank you for sharing your success life with me. I always imagined a life like yours would be that way with me when I got married, however, it did not turn out that way for my my ex-wife and me. Life has many bumps and pot-holes along the way. We were together for 10 years, 6 years living together, and 4 years married. We have a beautiful daughter, 8 years old. We of course got divorced and divorce is like a slow death. Thank God those years are behind me now. I'm now dating someone who gives me hope for living and I pray that our future will turn out like your life with your wife.
Thank you for the inspiration.
I really like the way you had put together all the pictures of your life partner.A Simple and Complicated Life Story told absolutely beautifull.
Thanks for Sharing with everyone..
Thanks for showing that a marriage can work. My dad has been divorced 5 times and my mom 3, sometimes I have doubts that i will ever find the right person based on my parents. This is a beautiful display that true love is possible, i hope to be half as happy as you are in my first, and only, marriage.
If I asked her how she's stayed so beautiful through the years, I suspect her answer would be: good genes, and all the adoration =)
I live in Grandview, MO, just down the road a piece from where you and Jennifer met at college. I just wanted to say that you are a lucky man; indeed, a lucky couple. Looking at your photos made me think of my first marriage, and made me wonder what it must be like to have that continuum of relationship for so many years.
It is clear that you cherish that continuum, and you have done it much honor with your site. Outstanding.
It's hard to add to what the others have written. Jennifer has grown from a beautiful girl to a beautiful woman, yet seems to retain the "girl" in her. Your love for her is obvious and no doubt a contributing factor. How many "lost loves" did we see in this gallery. I know it reminded me of mine. Congratulations on your happiness in life and my wishes for it to continue. We should all be so lucky.
I'm teary eyed....what a beautiful idea!
Excellent! What a precious thing. I wish I had maintained such a visual reminder of time spent. Methinks Sandy does too.
Roger L. Simon
Extraordinarily moving. Just great.
Thank you. I love the perspective on life it gives. Very sweet.
Thanks for guiding me through the journey of your fascinating piece of work!I'm deeply touched by your photos!I feel time changing and passes by with those unspeakable moments of Jennifer.Hope to see more!Best regards to both of you and your children!
on the other hand...your lovely wife is lucky to be married to such a great photographer (LOL)
Thank you, Karl, for sharing these wonderful moments with us. There is hope.
Nice going! This is very touching. Sandy's comments are kind of humorous! I always felt that Photography was freedom of expression.
I had someone comment on my Photos as well..I took a photo of my two oldest daughters in a store..and placed it in a Gallery on Pbase called "Just us Kids". Someone commented on the photo that I should have moved the display table out of the way and only focused on the foremost child in the shot, stating that my DOF was suffering! These are my kids, not hired models...Geezz.
I loved seeing the changes through the years....I am amazed when I look at pictures of myself and my wife over the last 15 years! Great Galley....But next time please conform to the guidlines for serious photographers!!!!!-Just kidding!
Whar an absolutely wonderful tribute to your life's partner. You truly caught the meaning of a photo essay.
To Sandy, who wrote the diatribe which shows she knows nothing about the meaning of photography. When I see the old photos from my past, I kick myself for not taking more pictures. Photography is not about crisp clear pictures with great highlights, color, perfect format, and originality. Photography to me is about memories, catching the special moments of one's life, expression of feelings, and love! These pictures tell a story of over 30 years. THANK YOU FOR SHARING!
Great gallery! But one picture of you two lovers together would add that much more to the story.
Wow, I didn't realize we had so much in common. Very nice. Thanks for stopping by the other day.
a truly wonderful story!!! congratulations and the best of luck with the years to come!
Man, thanks for such a intimate and moving look at your life.A remarkable journey. Thank you......
A great journey and testament to the institution of marriage! She seems perfectly content and happy - great job.
All us amateur photographers run around trying to get the perfect shot and the sharpest pictures and we actually lose site of what photography really is. Your site has made me re-evaluate what I am doing in photography. I saw a couple of negative comments from people who clearly miss the whole point. Your gallery is a great tribute and thanks for letting us into your lives.
We all have our own priorities. Be good to her.
So many wonderful comments and deservedly so! What a tremendous tribute. You are a lucky man and she a lucky woman. Congratulations.
Mean no disrespect, but seems like your wife is unhappy in most of the pictures
What a wonderful gallery. Your wife is awesome. But I kept thinking that you were just as special to recognize that in her. You two are heros to marriage! Meredith
What a tremendously powerful statement of commitment to each other. This is a great gallery. You are very lucky!
You, are a lucky man. A very lucky man.
Great gallery! I hope I can do the same one day.
This is the first gallery I have ever spent this much time viewing. I literally opened each image to see what even came next in your lives. I feel as though we are old friends. This is truly a heart warming gallery that will bring a tear and smile to any face. Thank you for inviting me into your life.
this is amazing...such history and love...what a wonderful thing to do...
Best use of a Pbase account I've ever seen.
This is an extraordinary gallery and you have for sure an very extraordinary wife.

A wonderfully unique and well executed idea. You narrative is beautiful.
Thank God the pictures continued until present day.
Reading your comments and how you worded them had me scared she had passed and your
photo gallery was a tribute. Normally I don't even think about things like that..
weird... but I was scared to scroll down and finish the pictures.
You guys have an awesome relationship.
Incredible, thought provoking, inspiring. I'll remember this gallery for a long time. There should be much more of this. Thanks for sharing!!
A wonderfull time catching gallery. It's inspiring. All the best to you, Jenny and your family.
Hello, my compliments for your nice photos!
Please come see my photos sometime?
Best regards,Tom from The Netherlands.
Reminds me of my own life :)

Gorgeous pictures. More please! For my pictures of gorgeous babes please visit
A great and interesting tribute. It gets my vote!
Great idea, great title (inspires a song...), great photos...a book would be nice but, hey, pbase has its own uniqueness...
Wonderfully done! A treasure and you're no doubt proud of her and your years together. I can see why you kept her around too... ;-) Here's to 35 more!!!
What a sweet gallery to post....I am a bit teary eyed thinking how nice of you to create this gallery...thanks.
FANTASTIC. WONDERFULL. WOW!
THREE CHEERS TO YOU AND JENNIFER!! IT IS MAGICAL AND VERY SPECIAL TO HAVE SUCH A PHOTOGRAPHIC RECORD . THANKS FOR SHARING!
A true love story-- a heart filled photgraphic journey that frames the memories on paper.
I just hope that someday someone will have loved me this much for this long!
Es unaa forma estupenda de documentar una vida, y una bonita historia de amor.
Por cierto, te has saltado las fotos de algunos años.
!!ENHORABUENA¡¡ desde España (spain)
I'm speechless. You should publish a book based on this series.
Great photos and story, you are a very lucky man. I wish you and her many more happy years. Thanks for letting me view your life for a few minutes.
Very touching, Very positive. Thankyou for sharing!
Jennifer has grown to be more beautiful thru the years. Ure a lucky man Karl!
I wish you both the very best towards another 35 wonderful years together!
Interesting idea...thanks for sharing
This is very inspiring and beautiful!
with this "diary" you made a beautiful gift to your family and all visitors of PBase as well. I like your idea to document you life in that way. All my best wishes for you and your family. I envy you for this story. (from Tom, Karlsruhe, Germany)
This is an unbelievable gallery, really inspiring. Congratulations on your marriage. I wish you another 35 years of joy and happiness together. Thanks for sharing.
Quite simply, a beautiful testament to time and love.
Thank you not only for the gallery, but the simplicity of which prompted me to tears of joy for my own good fortune.
What is up with that Sandy guy? Some kind of photo snob about art? This site claims "The primary mission of PBase.com is to be the best photo sharing and photo hosting web site", not that other crap Sandy is ranting about.
Thanks for sharing your pics, they are very nice.
Anyway, most come here to look at the nude girls really, not the art. Maybe you should add some nude photos of your wife, I mean just to make it more artsy fartsy :)
Really a great and emotional pieces of life
I am so touched by your gallery I just don't know what to say. Thank you so much for sharing your photos and your wonderful story.
Let's be honest, not only sentimental and romantic...Your wife is a lovely creature and it's quite true that she has remained as beautiful as when she was 19, probably your love has helped her to be this way too. I think it's splendid that you love each other so much, but what has all that really to do with a photo gallery? You have scanned old snapshots that are important for you and for your family, but from a strictly technical and artistic point of view they are just very average, then you have expressed your feelings for your wife in a touching, very sincere and also rather naive and romantic way, all that is very sweet, but really what has all that to do with skill for photography? It's a blog to move people, using their inner regrets or their ideals to make them identify in a romantic story as in a movie.
It's a sign of people double sided and basically banal mentality to notice that at the top of the popular galleries list there is your romantic one and the one of that "angel". People seem to need basic suggestions to be happy, tears, love and bad taste humour...
It would be probably nicer if we learnt to live our own stories instead of identify ourselves in others' ones and to imagine happiness as an ideal kingdom throught the medium of a third party.
Said that. I'm happy for you and for your beautiful wife...a little less for the angel :^))
I have never read a book that was a better love story than your gallery! You are both very lucky to have each other. Lets me see what I have missed in my life.
I think you have a movie script here. Parisians cling to a saying..."Paris is the only city in the world where a woman at 20 will be even more beautiful at 40"...I think you may have finally proved that statement false. Great gallery.
Standing ovations from germany. Nothing more to say.
An interesting and touching photographic journey. Maybe your wife should do one on you. Thanks for sharing both the concept and the results.
This is what photography is all about. Very nice job, some of the best on pbase.com.
This is fantastic! Loved sharing your journey.
Karl: this is a sweet idea. I shouldn't worry about photography standards, as they're quite acceptable and the really important thing is that you are celebrating 35 wonderful years with the one you love. That's all that matters!
Karl, this is beautiful. This is photography. This is the good life. Thanks.
simply love this gallery!!
P.S. Great lady!
Great idea, great pictures! I look forward to seeing 2004.
Maybe you should start one for the kids.
Great idea, great pictures! I look forward to seeing 2004.
Maybe you should start one for the kids.
You've captured all the beauty that time gives.
Firstly, please tell you wife that she is still so beautiful.
This was really amazing. 35 years of marriage with all those memories. Confgragulations to you both. I'm only married for 2.5 years and can't imagine how it can be but I wish with all my heart that you live the next 35 years together.
Besides what others have side, I would like to add that you have reminded me:
- the definition of photography (something that I'm starting to get lost)
- the definition of a rich live (obviously I am empty)
- the definition of love (I hope that my girl-friend won't see this)
And in the first time in my life that I want to say "May God Bless You".
And one thing I am not sure is - why don't you put pictures with you two together? Ah I see. You were there. What a true photographer!
you are a lucky man
Is that ever nice! She gets more beautiful as time goes by...Very nice gallery!
Wonderful. Past lives-Present lives-Future lives
Good for you.
Wonderful, touching, bravo.
hello, very nice photos, keep up the great work.
It's been one year and five months since I married and like you and Jennifer we are living a similar life. I am starting my hobbie in photography and this tribute is something I just admire. These are lessons in love and life, not to mention in photography. As someone before said, its not the photograph but the picture. Thanks for sharing.
This is the greatest story I have ever heard. It is so inspirational. Thanks for sharing it. Sometimes the picture is more important than the photography.....not everyone is smart enough to know this.
I enjoyed these photos but I couldn't help noticing that it looks as though the 80's and early 90's were tough times. After you moved to the lake it really shows through how much happier your wife is.Just like she was in the early photos. It just shows that people need to push their "restart button" once in a while and do whats best for themselves.
Thank You for the trip, My Wife and I enjoyed this very much. This is my 2nd marrige, and my 1st true love. I think the comments from some are typical of shallow people. This is one of the BEST tributes I have seen, I only wish I thought of it first!
I really enjoyed your gallery and story. It show's that things just end up working out. I've been married 2 years now, we have moved 4 times, struggled with the military and separations for about 3 of the 6 years we have been together and the good thing is, money doesn't matter because we don't have it. =) Beautiful story though, I would do the same about my husband in a couple decades.
You are a very average photographer, but you obviously adore your wife.
It's moving and nice that you felt like dedicating a gallery to her, but if you paid a little more attention to the quality of the pictures and their presentation, you'd offer even a better tribute to her.
Hi Karl and Jennifer! I just wanted you to know how much the sharing of your life meant to me today. I was searching for pictures of Michigan and happened upon some of your travels and from there began reading... what a lovely tribute to your wife, Karl. And, Jennifer... what a man he must be.
19 years ago I married my high school sweetheart at the age of 21 and we came up with the same 'rule' for marriage as you (and have never gone to bed angry with each other that I can recall). I've been going through a kind of down time lately... we seem to have reached that stage where so much of life consists of chaffeuring and bills, schedules and responsiblities that there hasn't been a lot of time left for us. Reading your "story" gave me such hope and encouragement tonight. I've just lost my focus a bit, I think. Your words have helped me see that. I hope your lives will be blessed today for the sharing of your journey. Thank you.
The first time I looked through the Jennifer gallery, I missed the text. I've just read through it and looked at the photos again. This is such a great story that I've sent a bunch of my friends here. Why do stories like this never get on TV?
Good for you guys!
You are one of the luckiest husbands in this whole world to marry such a great girl to be your lovely wife for life. By looking at her photos and your descriptions about the journey of your life with Jennifer, I know she is every man's dream wife.
I am so touched by your wonderful loving relationship with Jennifer!!
Your are so blessed to have her as your wife!!
God bless both of you and your family!!
I did a "search" using "1969" and found Jennifer's picture. What a wonderful tribute to your wife!
Nice idea, the pictures could do with some dates on them.
