Port Burwell

Built in 1840, it is unusual in that it is an example of a wooden lighthouse, one of the few left. It stands 65 feet tall, really quite tall for a wooden structure. The light was deactivated in 1952, and stood dark until restored in 1986. An electric light has been installed, but it is not utilized as an aid to navigation.
