House on Fire

House on Fire

House on Fire, also known as Flaming House Ruin, is an Anasazi ruin in Mule Canyon on the South Fork of Mule Creek near Cedar Mesa, Utah. To get to the ruin requires a hike of about 1.5 miles. Take San Juan County Road 263 north for about 1/3 mile from U.S. 95 to reach the trail head. When the light is just right, the ruin appears to be on fire due to the color of the rocks. It is believed to have been built around 750 AD.
