You can be forgiven for thinking the bush is on fire... in reality the sun is setting over Lake Menindee, in western NSW.
Lake Menindee is part of an extensive inland water storage system. The lakes fill in times of flood and drain back into the Darling River in times of drought. This ebb and flow has impacted on the vegetation... the trees remain as skeletons of their original selves creating an unique landscape with a beauty of its own.
