Although we had seen green violetears like this one in Mexico before our trip to Ecuador, we had never seen sparkling violetears and were very excited to find them at several of our destinations in the country. Both are terrific hummers to find, and we found that they were not that difficult to see in the wild on our trip to Ecuador.
