Loggerhead Shrike

Although loggerhead shrikes are rare in some parts of their range, we often find them while in the field. A telltale sign that a shrike has been to a site can be searched for on barbed-wire fences and the thorns of various desert plants where shrikes impail prey items like lizards and rodents for future meals.

A lot of people, including myself, might crop this picture to get in close to the bird. But your composition is excellent, showing the fencepost and the vegetation. Good job!
