Locust Cemetery

Located approximately 3.5 miles northeast of Sherburne, which lies on the
Licking River and Highway 11, Fleming County side.

There are plans for some of the Perkins family to meet again this year and we plan to clean some of the black mold off the stones to make them readable Not sure of date yet.

This is a very beautiful places where our family cab rest in peace, Many of their stones
are still standing, Still putting it all together,

After years of research and careful study I have determined my Great Grandfather, Nathaniel Gregory, and his second wife, Sarah Tribby (Gregory) are buried there. I have not found definite proof, although I am thoroughly convinced. Nathaniel died in 1873 (Cholera epidemic) Precise date unknown at age 50. His widow died sometime after 1905, precise date unknown. I could not find any stone for them, but so many stones are illegible, and in the time of Cholera, many burials had no stone at all. I have a listing of known interments there, but there are many more graves than there are listings. I would VERY much like to locate ANYTHING that confirms they are in fact buried there. If any additional information, any old records or anything of that nature should be found I would love to know it.

When you donethe Locust Cemetery in Fleming County did you take a picture of Ervin Kincaids stone, I sure could use as copy for my records He is a brother in law tio Elijah Perkins
