Campbell's Hydrogen Star
BD+30 3639
PN G064.7+05.0

BD+30 3639 (PK 064+5.1 PN G064.7+05.0) is more famously known as Campbell's Hydrogen Star in
Cygnus. The central star is a Wolf-Rayet star of type WC9. Taken Aug. 7 and Aug 10, 2013. Imaged
with CCD Lab’s Q285M camera and a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 at f10, on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. This
image is cropped and upsampled 2x from the original. Field stars were captured with R sub frames at
30 seconds and the G and B subframes at 45 seconds binned 1x1 resulting in the following total
exposures (R):(G):(B) (min) = (12): (19.5): (19.5). H alpha was used exclusively for Campbell’s Star
and overlaid onto the field stars. The H alpha subframes were 1 minute binned 1x1 for a total
exposure of 35 minutes. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated, sigma combined in Iris with other
processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.

A very wide field image of mine showing the location of PN G064.7+05.0 relative to Sh2-91 can be
