PN G149.4-09.2

Hartl-Dengel-Weinberger 3 (HDW 3, PK149-09.1, PN G149.4-09.2) Planetary Nebula in Perseus. This
is a large highly evolved and extremely faint planetary nebula with very low surface brightness. The central
star (which is the faint blue star near the center of the nebula arc) is designated WD 0322+452. Taken on
the nights of Nov. 23, 24 and 25, 2009. Imaged with CCD Lab’s Q285M and a C8N at f5 on a
Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. The OIII and H-alpha subframes were 10 minutes binned 2x2, while the
RGB subframes were 1.5 minutes binned 2x2 resulting in the following total exposures (OIII+HA):(R+Ha):
(G+OIII):(B+OIII) (min) = (360+370): (48+370):(48+360):(48+360). Captured with Nebulosity,
calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS.
North is up.
