Abell 2572 with Hickson 94 (Arp 170)

Abell 2572 galaxy cluster in Pegasus with Hickson 94 located at right center. NGC 7587a, b which are
part of Hickson 94 form Arp 170 which is in the class of Diffuse Counter Tails. These two objects are the
brightest galaxies in the “cloud” of material. Taken Sept 21, 22 and 24, 2009. Imaged with CCD Lab’s
Q285M and a C8N at f5 on a Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. The L subframes were 5 minutes binned 1x1,
while the RGB subframes were 3 minuutes binned 1x1 resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B
(min) = 290:48:48:48. Captured with Nebulosity, calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other
processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS. North is up.
