Easter Babka

Half bread and half cake, "Baba" or "Babka" is a sweet, yeast-risen bread with raisins, topped with icing and candied citrus zest.
It is an indispensable component of a Polish Easter feast, in Polish called Babka Wielkanocna.
It is called baba, a provincialism for woman or babka which means "grandma". The cake is always baked in a fluted pan and resembles the skirt of a woman.

That sounds delicious.
Kathryn mentions rum baba, the same shape as this and in an individual size.
Maybe they too are Polish?

I'm sure it makes you feel good...especially the fruit in it.

Delicious looking.
Do you ever put rum in them, I'm sure I've had
a 'rum baba' somewhere.
