They certainly worked long and hard....are we,any of us, finished?

A very nice conversion.
Bill Miller25-Jun-2013 07:10
It looks very nice. Time to add a third floor...
Sheena Woodhead24-Jun-2013 21:16
Pity they didn't keep any of the original building...but I bet it's worth a bob or two!

Turned out beautiful. Lovely stone work.

What a beautiful home and series of stone walls! Nice plot of land! :)
Yvonne24-Jun-2013 10:42
Wow, that is a lot of dry stone walling there, some one has been very busy!

Get some creepers on there, some moss and lichen, and a generous dose of your Weardale weather, and then it'll be finished, Johnny.
:-)

it looks solid, complete, and the swings are up...now for some plants about the grounds..

Certainly appreciate a rebuild and 'new' and finished(?), but (for me) a quaintness has been lost.
Great presentation series over the past while documenting this change.

Is anything ever finished? Looks quite different.
Máire Uí Mhaicín23-Jun-2013 23:40
I like your question mark:)
Mairéad23-Jun-2013 22:24
It's lost some of its character but at least its tastefully done - not so sure about the doors though.
Ann...23-Jun-2013 21:58
Oh a few steps too far for my taste but then at least there is a useable home there now.

I was going to ask how this was going. All in all I think they have do a good job from what I can see. Particularly like all the dry stone walls. Even though the original had its charm its good to see become a family home.

Superb picture of the renovated cottage, looks a good job. v

looks like it!
Brian Samuel23-Jun-2013 19:55
The house is looking good now. Happy families hopefully.

not sure whether to laugh or cry if this was the sweet derelict cottage you introduced us to a year or two back; I suppose some of the cars were in use
