This gallery contains images of sculptures made of steel and are placed in the Sculpture park "Sea of Steel" in Wijk aan Zee, a little village near the North Sea coast. Eleven sculptures have been made by sculptors coming from eleven different countries. The sculptures were to be inspired by the place where sea, dunes, industry and the village meet. Basic material of these sculptures was provided by the steelmaking enterprise "Tata Steel Europe" (Former Corus, former Hoogovens, adjacent to Wijk aan Zee) and are parts of slabs, ingots or steel sheets. Since June 1999 the sculpturepark is accessible for public after a introduction ceremony by Queen Beatrix.
