It's an autumn afternoon and the light is low and coming from the side,
throwing the terain into sharp 3D relief. We're looking across 2 valleys
(the first one with a hidden dam in it) and up to the highest point on
the Moor at just over 2000ft. There's a red flag on the top of Yes Tor
today indicating that the military are practice-firing on their range
and that people should keep out.
