Reply to John: Thanks for your comments. Yes, I suppose they could never have seen the rock like this, so in a way it is indeed Ayres Rock through European eyes, rather than Uluru.
The warship... now this is a replica of HMS victory being built for a firework show at Torrington in England. It's like a wild-west stage prop - very good on the front only.

I took a quick look through your posted pics and I must say you have an excellent "eye" for capturing your travels. The aerial of Ayer's rock is just one example. (I imagine "uluru" must be the native name, but they never photographed it, so Ayer's it is.) I noticed the 4-decker wooden warship, but could not "place it." The stern gallery does not look fancy, as expected.
