Peggy's Poorly Tail

'I've just lost 4" of my tail and I'm not happy about it!
The humans aren't too sure how it happened that I came to get two deep
2" long lacerations either side of end of my tail.
Some think I got bitten when being playfully chased by a boisterous
little friend, others think I may have stepped on my tail when twirling
around in the sand. The vet assumed it was a bite an insisted on
removing 4" of my tail to get to a good place for it to heal!
I'll not have a white tip there to chase either. Grounded for weeks too. What a summer!'
Update: 5th Aug 2010: Consensus is it was a bite after all, and I got an
infection setting me back another couple of weeks. Now hopefully on the
right antibiotics. I'm so bored not being allowed to run, so I'm digging holes
in the garden, disembowelling my toys; and don't you think having a plastic bag tied over my tail when it rains
is just so un-lady like as well..'
Update: "It's the second week of September now and I'm at last being allowed
to do some running free again without a sock or a bag over the end of my tail.
Maybe they'll take those soft towels off the radiator in the hallway where
I wag a lot before going out soon too."
