Last night we stayed at the Anchor Inn in Lincoln City, Oregon. This place was a stupendous eclectic collection of vintage stuff. This photo is of the lobby area featuring popcorn at all hours of the day. You have to imagine this sort of decoration in every room and hallway in the entire place. You easily find yourself just gazing at all the stuff. It is all interesting. We spent quite a bit of time just wandering and looking. If I ever come back to Lincoln City, this is the place I will stay. You could probably plan a whole day just looking at the stuff.

Today we traveled to Bend, Oregon to visit our friends the Barnharts. These folks were high school classmates of Ginny's. We had a great dinner out then went to watch the fireworks. In Bend, the fireworks are launched from the top of Pilot Butte which means there is 360 degree viewing. You simple find a spot anywhere in town and you can have a good view of the fireworks. We went to a friend of Bev's house and watched from the adjacent park. We were about four seconds away from the fireworks. It was a lot of fun. On the serendipity front, the person's house we visited turned out to be a good friend of Ginny's sister Patty. Small world.
