Ginny's garden club, Gardeners by the Bay, had their plant sale today. Sounded good to me. Here is how it works. The club members dig up stuff from their gardens for the sale. They put all their stuff on display. Then they come and buy stuff that the other members had donated. Sometimes your stuff sells, and sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't sell you have to come and take it back. So, I was sitting around the house and Ginny came back with a load of stuff she bought at the sale. It looked about like the amount of stuff she donated, so I though that was a pretty fair deal, volume wise. Of course, the stuff she got was much better than the stuff she donated. It took quite a while to go through the descriptions of the stuff she got. I honestly don't remember a thing, but it had to be a great deal because she got that stuff. Well, a little while later she asked if I would go with her to the sale to close out and pick up her unsold stuff. Sure, no problem. Well, it turns out that her stuff wasn't as good as a lot of the other stuff and we got to take all but one item back with us, along with a bunch of free stuff she swears is going to her friend Karen. Sounds kind of like trying to get rid of kittens. I really don't care about all this stuff because she has tons of fun goofing around in her garden. Remember, we had radishes yesterday. As for Ginny, she had a great time digging the stuff up, hauling it, visiting with her friends, buying stuff, hauling stuff and returning to haul more stuff back home. Life is good.
