Hoo Boy, did we ever have fun last night. Our friend Maria was celebrating her 65th birthday and her two sons Will and Brendan arranged a party at the sky box in Minutemaid Park, home of the Astros. Actually, we call them the Disastros because they are so lousy, but we love them. During the seventh inning stretch and the singing of "Take me out to the Ballgame" they scanned by our box and for a brief moment we were on the big screen in the park. I am third from the left in blue. To my left in white is our friend Liz and to her left in black and red is Ginny. Now for those of you in foreign lands and unfamiliar with baseball, it is a tradition for the crowd to stand in the middle of the seventh inning and sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." In addition, here at Minutemaid Park, we follow on with "Deep in the Heart of Texas." I am not a big sports fan. I don't follow anything; however, I will never pass up an opportunity to go to a baseball game. We all had a great time at the ballpark tonight. Life is good, even though the Astros lost. |
