We had a nice day on the east side of the Everglades. We started out with a canoe paddle guided by a ranger which was a lot of fun. We waited for a little while to allow an alligator to abandon its position blocking a passage through the mangroves. Unfortunately, it started to rain pretty hard and the ranger decided to cut the trip short. After that we headed down to Flamingo to meet up with our friend Shauna who is a ranger in the park. We spent the rest of the day stopping at all the places to see as we headed back through the park to Homestead. Later we had a nice Cuban dinner in Homestead and called it a day. Lots of fun.
