I got up early this morning and ran one more test. I was interested to see how the G-11 and the S-70 compare in noise. Now remember that the S-70 only goes up to ISO 400, so these are both at 400. They are both RAW at f8. The top is the S-70 and the bottom is the G-11. There is quite a defference. I like the S-70 because it is easy to ue and carry abut. The major drawback was the lack of low light perfomance. The G-11 has settings a high as ISO 3200. I would imagine that 3200 is pretty noisy. But it looks like I got a significant performance boost with the G-11. Of course, the 5D Mk2 blows the doors off, but that is to be expected. Enough exprimenting, time to relax and enjoy Christmas with Ginny.
