Suzette
January 13, 2008
Baltimore, MD
THIS GALLERY CONTAINS NUDES AND IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK (NSFW)
Suzette is a figure model who is friendly and easy to work with. She's a bit more exotic (well for me at least) in that she's of Iranian descent but grew up in the Phillipines. She also has the longest hair, second only to my wife, (relative body length wise) of anyone I've photographed to date. She's professional to work with and very nice as well as responsive to emails.
I still used the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM and the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di lenses, but added a Canon EF 135mm f/2L, but primarily used the Tamron just because I could frame the images more to my liking. However I found that my EOS 20D's focus mechanism is amazingly off now and the mirror seems to have a lag. Thus though there were a lot of fairly well (for me) composed shots, they were just blurry enough to really prevent any impact from them as the camera consistently missed focus. It's been doing this in bright light now as well and with high contrast so I think it needs to go for repairs... In any case, the most accurate lens was (within 10') the 135mm lens which made framing the body of Suzette rather difficult in the confined studio.
She can be found on ModelMayhem and OneModelPlace.
I took almost 2000 photos. I then culled photos for FOCUS (grr), setting, composition, and expression.. Now I'm selecting from those for what should be posted. As I do so and as I process them, I'll update this gallery over the coming days/weeks.
As usual comments and critiques are requested and if you like one of the shots (or the gallery), feel free to vote... Thanks!
