Tiana is a wonderful (fine art figure) model and a very nice person. It was fun to photograph her and learn more about photography. If I could arrange to shoot with her again, I would, no question, but maybe it would be nice to just do some causal shots of her, vs. figure modeling shots.

For some of you out there interested in equipment, the studio was set for constant hot lighting to avoid flash photography. Also, I ended up using two lenses more than my others: the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM and the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di lenses. They were faster than most and the IS helped with handshots vs. tripod. The Tamron was used for wider shots. In the smaller studio area, it was harder to use the fixed primes as they just weren't wide enough on the 1.6x crop of the EOS 20D (so I went the other extreme and used the big IS lens). An EOS 5D would have been really nice to use the 50/1.4 and 85/1.8 primes. Because of the longer IS lens, I ended up with a lot more portaits than one would have expected...

Makeup and outfits were provided by Tiana herself. She's also a photographer.

I took almost 1000 photos of which I threw out about 75%, and I'm culling the remainder down to something reasonable and manageable. As I do so and as I process them, I'll update this gallery over the coming days/weeks.
