Xingfu Meilin. Although it was on the tour itinerary, we got no idea why they bothered to bring us to the place. I could find hardly any information about the place on the internet prior to the trip. According to the tour guide, it was supposed to be one of the modern suburban parks in Chengdu and a wonderland of plum blossoms. But it was not the season, and we didn't see any plum blossom. The whole place looked deserted and partially closed. We were to have stopped there for about half an hour to 45 minutes but, for the first time on the trip, all of us went back to the bus after a short while and we were glad to leave the place early for lunch and an afternoon of shopping at Chunxi Road.
