Moonlight Sonata

Ludwig van Beethoven

Submitted for the Weekly Informal Challenge, "Influential."

When I was around 30 I had never played the piano, but was enchanted with this piece of music.
So much so that I started having visions of actually being able to play it myself!
My husband then said "Find yourself someone who teaches adults and I'll buy you a piano."
It was a dream come true and I played for 10 years until problems with my eyes caused me to stop.
I will always get a special feeling whenever I hear Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata ....... talk about something being influential!!!!

Yes, what a great influence Beethoven was ... I played the piano as a child and I am so sorry I never kept it up. Fur Elise was my favourite to play.

Great photo and subject for the challenge. The "Moonlight Sonata" is one of my favorites as well. I literally grew up with these as my grandfather had the complete set on LP's by Duetsche Grammophon with Wilhelm Kempff on the piano. I can still relive those memories as I have the set on CD. So I can totally understand why you chose this, especially as you can play it as well. "V"
