Weekly Challenge - Machines

They can build up .... or tear down

The Palm Beach Mall opened in 1967 and was the first fully enclosed, climate-controlled mall in Florida.
It was also the largest mall in the Southeastern United States.
Fast forward to the year 2000 when the mall began to show a steady and serious decline of business.
Presently it has been totally empty for the past two years.
However, there are now plans to transform the old Palm Beach Mall into the new Palm Beach Fashion Outlets.
The entire original structure is currently in the process of being completely demolished.
The last image here used to be Sears!

Months to erect minutes to tear down. A seriously big machine.

That is quite the history, not all that old though if it was built in 1967 and is now coming down. A terrific story being told in these images. V

Guess there will be no recycling of the buildings here. Fabulous journalistic series. I like the huge machinery in the first image. V.
