#1 So Sad

Amtrak Station, West Palm Beach, Florida

It was not cold at all today -- temperatures were heading for the 80s F.

I wondered if she had a ticket, but the train came and went and she never left this bench. So sad.

20.5 million Americans live in extreme poverty (DeNavas-Walt 2011, p. 19).
Indeed very sad that such a rich country this makes possible
well seen and captured Janet, great form of social photography

So very sad indeed. It's impossible to know how, when or why the downward slide began for this poor soul but however and whenever this isn't how it should end up.
Dawn McKenzie-Wykes01-Mar-2012 11:21
That is a sad sight, I wonder if thats all she owns in those bags ?

Sheila01-Mar-2012 10:20
Excellent street photography. I hope it isn't what it looks like at first glance. I hope she was just having a nap.

This speaks of dementia..the layering of clothes in all types of weather, the plastic bags covering belongings...I hope someone arrived to take care of the poor old dear.
