_MG_1319 Prickly Pear Flower

On my neighbor's plant - he called me over for the photo op. The flower is not as saturated as this, but it's so pale looking that I wanted to add some zing to it. Hope I didn't overdo it. Was not taken at the best time of day. I'm going to shoot it again when the sun is lower.

Beautifully captured, and I like the saturation of the yellow.

My grandma use to have these growing everywhere in wooden tubs, A real ouchy for a nosey kid! Very pretty color.

Looks perfect to me. My hubby wants some prickly pears. He loves these flowers. This is lovely, I can't wait to show it to him.

I am surprised to see prickly pear in NC. I always thought it was a true desert plant.

Nice! You captured the textures very well. These blooms don't last very long.
