I've been taking photos since I was 8 when my parents bought me my first camera for Christmas: a Kodak 110. I've pretty much had a camera in my hand ever since. You'd think I'd be better by now, wouldn't you? :)
I use a Canon Digital Rebel xTi, and a Canon 30D. I also ALWAYS carry the Canon S2 IS with me. It's just about my favorite camera. Its super-macro feature is amazing. I also use my daughter's Olympus FE-100 for its super-macro feature, too. It's an amazing little camera.
I'm 40 and have been happily married for almost 24 years to my high school sweetheart. We have two children, Brooke, 23, and Cain, 20.
I am crazy about photography. I love shooting nature--wildlife and landscapes; sports, mostly American football and baseball. I'm just starting to get brave enough to shoot random people. I love looking at a person's face or hands and wondering what their life is like. I also love macro photography.
For editing I use Photoshop CS2, & Picasa, which is a terrific free program from Google (www.picasa.com). I only do basic editing; I don't do anything that dramatically changes my photos. I like them to be "as shot." There's nothing WRONG with people using editing software to make their photographs pieces of art by doing major editing, but that's just not for me. :)
I love Jesus, Christmas, the colors orange & green, fall (autumn), the ocean, and being in the woods. My other hobbies include hiking, camping, and Geocaching. I listen to Fleetwood Mac when I cook and clean, and sing horribly with songs on the radio. I read a lot, love my subscriptions to Southern Living, Birds & Blooms, Popular Photography & Country. I would be a full-time student if I could afford it.
I love the Lord and thank him daily for the blessings that I receive. :)
