This is dedicated to Peeka, who showed us what persistence can do when you're trying to get shots of hummingbirds. I set the camera to macro and was probably a couple to three feet away from the bird. (It wouldn't focus at this distance if I didn't have it on macro). Set the internal flash to low, chose a focus box to the left of the feeder. Just waited for a hummer to arrive, since they seem very curious when I'm out of the deck. This lady wasn't bothered at all by the flash. I was, since it took a long time to recycle and the bird really hung around for a long time. I got one more good one, next.
