IMG_1883 I've never seen such a huge bee before

...and having done a search for large bee with black dot on back, Google Images leads me to believe it is a carpenter bee.

Superb shot, really well composed and photographed. It could be a queen bee, the queen bumble bees are huge compared to the workers which are the ones we normally see. V
