I went to Connemara, the former home of the poet Carl Sandburg, in Flat Rock, North Carolina today, to help a friend become acquainted with her Nikon D5200. While she was looking for the histogram, which we never found, I took a few pictures with the 20mm f/1.7 lens.
I knew immediatly that these were the original roses. They have only 5 petals ... the allmark of the original roses before all the new varieties were created, now in the hundreds and hundreds.
