DSCF6972 Sweet Moment

This picture is very special to me because Louie is fading faster these days with dual problems of asthma and cardiomyopathy. His weight is dropping and although he seems to have an appetite and asks for food, he doesn't eat very much. Beegie looks fatter than she is (12.8 lbs), next to 7 lb. Louie. He's lost .4 pound in the last week. I don't know how much longer he's going to be around. I have been so blessed by watching their beautiful relationship and having Louie's special loving.

When I saw this moment I grabbed the F30 which happened to be on my desk, just pointed and shot and was a bit annoyed that the flash went off because I know how much the cats hate it, but true to my experience with the Fuji, the flash was flawless and didn't create red eye. Of all the digicams I've owned, and there've been a bunch, the F30 flash is absolutely the best, rarely giving red eye and squelching itself beautifully when I move in for a closeup.

Please take Louie's misfortunate as a wake-up call to make sure your pet's teeth are taken care of. Gingivitis (red swollen gums) can lead to heart disease, and I believe it was the start of Louie's. He was only three years old when I brought him in to have his teeth cleaned and the veterinarian discovered how bad his teeth and gums were and had to pull about 3/4 of them.

Through the years I have been on Digipets Louie and Beegie have been developing their special relationship and I can see how it has grown in depth over the years. This is a VERY special photo of these two special kitties.

A sad and worrying time for you Isabel. Having been there myself I know how you must be feeling. A lovely shot of the two together.

I'm sorry to hear about Louie. I know what you're feeling because I just lost Footer last week to Feline Infectious Peritonitis. I hope Louie will respond to the increased dosage of Prednisone.

I'm as sad hearing that Louie is not feeling well, as I would be hearing that about my love Minoo. We have grown with him for a long while now ... Louie is special to all of us. So be certain Isabel that we feel strongly for you.
Here we say that when it is our turn to move on to the other reality, and that we arrive at The Big Pearly Gates, all the animals we have encountered in our life will be there waiting for us, and they are the ones who will decide if we go in or not.
I know that Louie will escort you with class right through those front Doors. Louie has had so much love and good cares in his little life ... but it is not finished just yet, he still has a while to go ...
Hugs to Beegie and Monsieur Louie from Minoo and I.

Beautiful Isabel. I'm so sorry that Louis is failing. He has been such a sweet kitty and special friend to Beegie (and You).

Great shot of your four-legged children, and I am sorry to hear that Louie is having a hard time. It is so hard when you know your time with them is limited. Even after Louie has gone to the Rainbow Bridge you will always feel his paw prints on your heart! (You will always have wonderful memories through these wonderful pictures.)
