This is a lovely children's story and I got the pleasant task to translate it into Irish!

Wonderful that books are being translated into Irish. I am impressed you speak the language and I also see that it must be thriving, which is good news. I took a course in Irish Gaelic (if that is the correct term... it was so long ago I don't recall much) many years ago but I did not excell. I love the sound of the language but I found it difficult. I was born in Wales and my Mother and her generation spoke Welsh but alas, I didn't. It is another language I tried to learn, but failed.
