Neglected

25 September 2005

I managed to waste over an hour looking for a letter that I convinced myself that I really need, even although I probably don't. The kettle is another good excuse to stop for a few minutes. I have been testing the theory that a watched kettle doesn't boil. Consider the theory disproved. I conducted the experiment repeatedly throughout the day, and the kettle boiled every time without fail. I tidied up my desk... by which I mean I lifted piles of paper from one side of the desk and put them on the other side - I managed to drag that out for about 45 minutes; well, I did have to check which papers need to be kept, which ones needed shredding and which ones could just be thrown in the bin. As it transpired, I had to keep them all, apart from a few leaflets that I put through the shredder. What with all this going on, I just couldn't find the time to take a picture today! BTW, thanks to everyone who is looking at and voting for my Neglected gallery, which is riding high in the popular galleries - the second page is higher than I've ever been before, so thanks!

I love all these old bits of machinery. Great for these abstract close-ups.

Maybe yes, your gallery is neglected due to unavoidable bulk of work but perhaps not neglected by visitors viewing your great photos.. :o) Nice details of rust... :o)

Rust really does go with everything, doesn't it :>) Proof that nature & it's elements will reclaim what belonged to them first. Congrats on the POP Gallery placing, Stu.

Beautiful rust, lovely image. I'm glad you didn't clear away the cobweb.

Love rust and this is a super close up. I like the striped colorful background too. Congratulations on your ranking in the popular galleries. I do get tired of seeing naked women there. Although I'm sure there are many who would disagree. :)

As rusty as I feel right now. Looks like you'll be burning the midnight oil and working beautifully under pressure.

It's amazing how spiders found themselves a home here.

I agree with northstar37, anybody would think kettles and football rule your life (*.*)
