Remind me never to do that again... take six carloads of wood and old toys, carpets, bikes.... etc., etc., to the recycling centre. I am aching all over, and am not even half-way through. Unfortunately, I have to start all over again tomorrow, in the hopes that I might get it finished before Craig comes up on Monday to level off the ground and take away a small wall in preparation for the gravel coming. Talking about digging, I hired a mini digger today, and it arrives on Monday. Craig's going to teach me how to operate it... that should be fun. Liam and I have actually had some fun today working in the garden. We went to the trade shop and bought a new wheelbarrow (for £10), a 6x4m tarpaulin (£12), 250m of rope (£6), protective gloves (£4) and Liam decided he wanted a shovel that is insulated to withstand electric shocks up to 20kv (which cost a shocking £30, compared to £10 for the normal wooden handled shovel). Anyway, clearing the garden is taking a long time - it is just as well the recycling centre is quite nearby! While Liam was at his guitar lesson, I drove down to Kingoodie, where I wandered around at the old abandoned workshop (which I have photographed several times before). It certainly is a neglected building with lots of interesting nooks and crannies for the dedicated amateur photographer. Since I will probably not have much chance to get out in the next few days, I will use some of the images that I captured today. In the meantime, however, here is one that I took at the shore beside the abandoned workshop. I don't think I would trust my life to these corrugated iron rafts!
It doesn't seem like a year since I was at Lintrathen!
