The new rack and pinion train at the foot of Puy de Dôme. There was a train in Victorian times
but it was dismantled and for nearly a century you were able to walk and eventually drive to the top.
Four years ago it was decided to rebuild the railway and ban cars - erosion had taken it's toll.
