Very nice monochrome soft and inviting, nice soft tonal values and a bit of a three dimensional feel to the flowers.
Excellent fading into the background.

Love these little starry flowers floating above the background! :) V
Here is a website for U.S. wildflowers that might help. This link goes to the West Virginia flowers. I like this site because you can search by color.http://uswildflowers.com/stateref.php?State=WV

They are beautiful, as is your terrific image. They seem to stand out more in mono. They look like a Senecio species (which are in the daisy family). V.

Wonderful focus on the one flower that creates a very nice delicate looking black and white image. V

Love the composition and focus on the light-emanating petals. V

Very nice Karen. Thing about black and white is that it forces focus on form and shape which is not usual for pictures of flowers where so often the emphasis is on colour. Well done.

I call all of 'em that look like that "Daisies". :D
Very nice b&w presentation, Karen.
