Northern Brown Snake

I found this guy under a rock, trying to stay warm. I held him for awhile, before replacing
the rock and then letting him go back "home". He was very docile.

Most snakes, like this one, are COMPLETELY harmless and EXTREMELY beneficial to the ecosystem.
I understand people have fears, but snakes want nothing to do with you either, so please let
them be, instead of needlessly killing them.

I think I would run a mile if I came across a snake, even one with blue eyes like this. Very interesting photo and narrative. V
