The Colt was being weaned from it's mother ~ it was time.
The Colt had to be put in a stall while the mother was out in the coral.
The mother was getting to the point of impatience with the Colt's wanting to continue nursing.
But, the mother was missing the Colt, too.
I had hugged the Colt and then went over to the mother and
she rubbed her cheek against mine and just held her head there as if to say how much
she missed her baby. Animals are so emotional!
