Wombat state forest

#2
Today I took a drive through this area which is about 60km. from Melbourne. There are many signs on the roads making people aware of the wildlife in the area.My partner has hit a kangaroo twice while driving through at dusk; it is very distressing.

Wonderful animals, it's good they are under protection.

Very nice composition and collage of signs. I hope people follow their advice!

Neat signs! Here we have lots of collisions between deer and car. If one is unlucky they will hit a moose, and the outcome of that accident can be fatal for the occupants of the car while the moose walks away unharmed.

nice collage you made here Sandra

It seems those critters can only go 70 kph from dusk to dawn. The rest of the time the move much slower (I think). Fun composition.

Intruiging composition. Looks almost like a mirror.

Can those critters really go 70kph?

What a beautiful woodland. I would love to see those critters in the wild.
Do be careful...

Wow, probably like hitting a deer here...will mess your car up for sure and the poor animals! I would cry if I ever hit anything. Great image!

It would be horribly distressing. I love your montage of signs. I remember best the Cassowary signs up near Cairns! V

Yes, I remember seeing those signs when I was there! You have to be very careful!

Interesting signs, not something we have around here. We do have rattlesnake signs. Be careful!

Oh dear, I can imagine! Fantastic composition!

I would think the Roos are hit more often due to their rapid mobility. That would be too sad.
