Whenever I see a Magnolia, I think of my Mother.
Every spring, my mother's magnolia tree gets frost damage shortly after the buds appear. Rarely, in the past 30 years, did she get to see the tree in full bloom.

Here in Texas, I have a big Magnolia tree. So I get to think of Mom every May when the blossoms appear.
