Tamales
The word Tamale comes from the Nahuatl (Aztec) word Tamalli. Tamales are a typical Mexican food and are especially enjoyed around Christmas.
They are made with corn meal dough and a filling and then wrapped in cornhusks and steamed.
The four Tamales in this image are filled with Pollo (Chicken) and Res (Beef)
My favorite is Rajas (a sauté of jalapeno chili, red onion and bell peppers) but they were already sold out.
They can also be filled with cheese, pork, beans, squash, pumpkin seeds, hardboiled eggs, dove breasts and iguana meat, to name a few. Buen provecho!

My take on the challenge is 30 foods I like to eat.
