Brilliant picture.
We used to have lots of books, then someone I work with suggested that if you have already read a paperback and lend it to someone, then you should make it known that you don't expect it back, a kind of pass it on thing.
But a word of warning I have now bought "touching the void" twice and still haven't got a copy of my own.

And I thought I had a lot of books, Doug!!
A mere 700-800 at the last count!
Nice perspective on this one.
Best regards, Chris

Have to agree with Terry here...and a great 'home' shot...though living room? Sounds more like a library!

Nice perspective, the colors and lines draw my eye through the entire image.

What a great photo! Looks like my house. We have so many thousands of books they're piled up on the floor, on tables.... I think this is a warm and cosy photo!!

Nice angle and composition! Reminds me that there are millions of books to be read .... there's never enough time to do everything. Well done.

LOL at Walter - I too am twisting me neck trying to see what you've got there.
I always look a people's book shelves when I got visiting.
Good perspective and very neat shelves.

Fascinating look at your reading. They say that books tell a lot about a person. Too bad the titles are so difficult to read.

wonderful perspective on this marvellous collection...although it's a neck-twister trying to read the titles...couldn't find the Spike Milligan section though...trust you have sturdy supports under the living room floor...V

So many books! Don't you just love to read?
I'm not a TV person and would rather read to relax!
Thanks for the entry!
